Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the website owner.
Essential Cookies
Max Calendar is a static site and does not use essential cookies for functionality.
Your cookie consent preference and week-start preference (Sunday or Monday) are
stored in your browser's localStorage — not as cookies — so they
stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics always loads, but its behaviour depends on your consent choice:
- Before you consent (or if you decline): Google Analytics operates in cookieless mode — no cookies are set, no personal data is collected. Google uses anonymous signals to provide modeled (estimated) analytics data.
- After you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to track your sessions and provide full analytics data.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Set When |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years | Analytics consented |
_ga_* | Maintains session state | 2 years | Analytics consented |
Google Analytics collects anonymised data such as pages visited, time on site, referring websites, general geographic location (country/region), and device type. We use this data to understand which calendars and countries are most popular and to improve the site. GA4 anonymises IP addresses by default — full IP addresses are never stored.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data.
Advertising Cookies
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense in the future. When enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites. These cookies are only set if you consent via the cookie banner. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time at Google Ads Settings.
Third-Party Services
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers. Google may log requests as described in their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process infrastructure-level data (security, DDoS protection) as described in their privacy policy.
- flagcdn.com — country flag images are loaded from this CDN. No cookies are set, but image requests are logged by the CDN provider.
Consent Storage
Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage (not
as a cookie). The record includes which categories you accepted and a timestamp.
It persists until you clear your browser data or update your preferences.
Managing Cookies
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page. You can also control cookies through your browser settings:
You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we add new services or change cookie usage. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
